Fox News ha estado bajo una administración más nueva y liberal desde que Roger Ailes dejó la compañía hace unos años.

Entonces, cuando escucharon estos comentarios de Jeanine Pirro sobre el representante Ilhan Omar, se asustaron.

Fox News has 'strongly condemned' comments made by its host Jeanine Pirro after she questioned whether Rep. Ilhan Omar's hijab meant she subscribed to sharia law.
During the opening monologue of her show on Saturday, Pirro claimed that Omar's head covering was a sign that she was committed to the religious law which originates from the Quran, adding that it was 'antithetical' to the constitution.
She said: 'Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to sharia law which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?'
Earlier in the segment, Pirro had suggested that the Minnesota congresswoman was not getting her 'anti-Israel sentiment doctrine' from the Democratic party.
She said: 'Think about this. She's not getting this anti-Israel sentiment doctrine from the Democrat party… So if it's not rooted in the party, where is she getting it from?
Honestamente, no me parecen exactamente preguntas terribles. Demonios, la mayoría de los demócratas odian la Constitución porque obstaculiza su forma de desmantelar nuestras libertades.

 Pero más aún, no es como el mandato de Omar como congresista ha sido un ejemplo a seguir. Ella ha estado envuelta en controversia porque es antisemita. ¿Dónde aprendió a odiar a los judíos? Es una pregunta justa, y todos sabemos que la respuesta es porque ella es musulmana.

 Si ella está tan dispuesta a ser descaradamente antisemita y no disculparse, ¿cuáles son sus otras creencias?

 En un vacío, tal vez podría entender la crítica de las preguntas de Pirro. Después de todo, escoger su hijab puede parecer un poco mezquino. Pero esto no es un vacío. Omar ha mostrado simpatía por los terroristas en el pasado y ahora está haciendo que su odio por los judíos sea bastante obvio. Creo que es justo hacer más preguntas.

Of course, this is all political and it’s ultimately meaningless because Trump will veto it, and the opponents of his national emergency don’t have enough votes to overcome it. Still, it will hurt him politically a little bit. Not much really. On the other hand, he really needs to expand his support beyond his base, or we’re gonna see a replay of the midterms… also, #MAGA!!!
